Over the past 24 hours, the global cryptocurrency market capitalization has dropped 3.3%, currently standing at $3.44 trillion. Unlike last two days when all top 10 coins were green, only one saw its price increase today. XRP is up 4.9% to the price of $2.55. On the other hand, Dogecoin (DOGE) saw the highest loss: 8.9% to $0.2273. Most other coins are down between 2% and 3%. At the same time, Bitcoin (BTC) is down 0.9%, the smallest decrease on the list, currently trading at $103,465, while Ethereum (ETH) , fell 2.6%, now changing hands at $2,484. When it comes to the top 100 coins per market cap, only five coins are green and only two among these recorded increases above 0.5%. In an email shared with Cryptonews , Forster commented that the market has seen significant price movements, with the major coins seeing “impressive gains.” Additionally, volatility has been on the rise. Traders on Derive.xyz are positioning for heightened volatility as well, the founder says. 46.7% of all BTC premiums are calls bought, and 37.7% are puts over the previous 24 hours. Also, 42.2% of ETH premiums are calls bought, and 30.6% are puts. This indicates “mixed market sentiment but betting on significant price moves.” Furthermore, the platform finds that there is now a 40% chance for BTC to surpass $105,000 by May 30, up from 16% last week.
